Job summary

Massachusetts Trial Court West Roxbury is seeking a Custodian to maintain clean, safe facilities. You will clean offices, bathrooms, floors, remove trash, mow lawns, and shovel snow as needed, with opportunities to assist maintenance tasks.

The role works under a Facilities Supervisor and requires reliability and teamwork. This union position carries a 5S pay grade, starting at $40,575.34 per year and up to $59,802.08.

Qualifications

• No degree requirement.
• Three (3) years of related work experience.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods and supplies.
• Knowledge of floor care and cleaning products.
• KAIVAC and IMOP equipment knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Dust and wet mop floors and stairs; operate vacuum; place wet floor signs.
• Strip and wax floors; use power buffer for polishing.
• Dust furniture; empty trash; clean windows, doors, walls and mirrors.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms; replenish supplies.
• Check lights; secure entrances after cleaning; report maintenance needs.
• Move furniture as needed; assist with office layout changes.
• Provide coverage for other custodians as needed.
