Qualifications

• Must be 18 years old.
• Criminal record clearance; TB test.
• Current state/county Food Handler’s Permit.
• Experience with volume cooking and safe food handling.
• English communication skills; adaptable to routine changes.
• Able to lift 50 lbs; push, pull or carry up to 30 lbs; frequent standing/walking.

Responsibilities

• Prepare attractive, great‑tasting meals and follow special diets per MD orders.
• Serve meals on schedule, spotting menu issues and making appropriate corrections.
• Ensure menu changes are approved by the Culinary Director.
• Keep the kitchen clean and sanitary, labeling/date/store and rotating food correctly.
• Document temperatures, helping with inventory and ordering.
• Supporting dining room service, room‑service trays, dishes and cleanup.
