Qualifications

• Associate degree, technical diploma, apprenticeship, or certification in electrical technology or related field required.
• Ability to read, troubleshoot, and make basic edits to PLC code (Allen-Bradley Studio 5000 / RSLogix required).
• Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Strong mechanical and electrical problem-solving skills; able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Respond to day-to-day production issues using PLC/HMI to diagnose faults and keep equipment running.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership to operators and maintenance personnel to maximize output.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial control systems (PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, sensors).
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, ladder logic, wiring diagrams, and manuals to identify faults and repair.
• Make pre-approved PLC/HMI edits and escalate advanced changes as needed.
• Perform preventive/predictive maintenance to reduce downtime and improve reliability.
• Install, wire, test, and commission new or modified control systems and equipment upgrades.
• Document changes and troubleshooting findings in CMMS and collaborate on root-cause analysis.
