Job summary

Clarest Health is seeking a Control Room Pharmacy Technician for our Long-Term Care Pharmacy in Ashland, VA. The role focuses on secure, accurate fulfillment of controlled substances within a closed-door LTC environment, supporting pharmacists, nurses, and caregivers.

You will package, label, and document medications, maintain inventory, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Training schedule may apply initially, with benefits and PTO available.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English (verbal and written).
• Long-term care pharmacy experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Package and label controlled substances for pharmacist review.
• Manage workflow and verify orders for dispensing.
• Maintain chain-of-custody documentation and inventory accuracy.
• Assist with replenishment and stocking for LTC facilities.
• Support audits and documentation for controlled substances.
• Unpack and stock items under pharmacist supervision.
