What Good Care Looks Like

Good care is specific. It is the right medication, for the right person, at the exact right time, and someone following up to make sure it actually worked.

That follow-through is where the system usually breaks down, and it is where Clarest steps in. We manage medication for patients across long-term care, assisted living, and at home, building the technology that keeps all three connected so no one gets handed off and forgotten.

None of that happens without the people doing it, which is why we hold ourselves to the same standard with our own. Paid time off increases the longer you are here, life insurance is company-paid, and for associates who enroll in our health plan, a dedicated nurse advocate and no-cost telehealth extend to eligible dependents as well. Careers here move in more directions than most people expect, and many of our leaders started in the roles we are hiring for now.

Power the secure flow of controlled medications from fulfillment to delivery

As a Control Room Technician, you play a critical role in the safe and accurate fulfillment of controlled substance medications for long-term care facilities and senior living communities. Working behind the scenes, you package, label, document, and stage medications while maintaining strict chain-of-custody and inventory controls. Your attention to detail helps pharmacists, nurses, caregivers, and patients receive the medications they depend on without interruption.

Unlike similar pharmacy technician roles in retail settings, this position operates within a closed-door pharmacy environment focused exclusively on serving long-term care and senior living communities. Rather than interacting with walk-in customers, you'll work as part of a specialized team managing controlled substance fulfillment, regulatory compliance, inventory accuracy, and medication distribution processes that directly support patient care across multiple healthcare facilities.

What You’ll Do

From medication packaging to inventory management, you’ll help keep critical pharmacy operations running smoothly and efficiently.

  • The ability to adhere to Remedi 's Code of Conduct, follow Remedi's Compliance policies and procedures, and report any suspected violations of any federal or state laws to either their direct supervisor, Human Resources or the Compliance Officer.
  • Package and label controlled substance medications into specialized packaging according to valid prescriptions for final pharmacist review.
  • Manage workflow and monitor orders to ensure all controlled substances entered for dispensing are packaged, labeled, verified, and properly toted.
  • Stage and tote all finished products, completing chain-of-custody documentation for courier hand-off.
  • Assist with maintaining accurate documentation and records for controlled substances.
  • Enter and update the pharmacy’s perpetual inventory system, including Controlled Inventory Management (CIM) for Schedule II medications dispensed, received, or removed.
  • Assist with prepackaging of controlled substances for future use and ensure appropriate documentation is maintained.
  • Fulfill replenishment requests for long-term care facilities’ on-site emergency supplies.
  • Support audits and inventory processes as needed.
  • Unpack and stock items received from the wholesaler (under pharmacist supervision) and immediately elevate any missing or tampered items to the Supervisor or PIC.
What We’re Looking For
  • High School graduate or equivalent required
  • Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and written with English as the primary language
Bonus Points If You Have
  • Minimum of two (2) years working in a long-term care pharmacy preferred but not required
You’ll Be Successful If You Have

  • Thrive in a dynamic environment by quickly adjusting to changing priorities, new tasks, and evolving business needs with a positive attitude

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or move up to 40 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the shift
