Job summary

Hive in Forest, VA is seeking experienced Community Engagement DSPs to support individuals with ID/DD in a community-based setting, accompany them to events, and foster personal growth and social interactions. Second shift positions are available (2pm–9pm).

Background checks and drug screenings are required, along with strong documentation skills and a reliable vehicle with full insurance. You will help individuals with daily living skills, follow each person’s plan, promote independence, and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Background checks and screenings required.
• Experience with ID/DD preferred (training provided).
• Strong communication and dependable, team-oriented attitude.
• CPR/First Aid and Medication Administration certification (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Support individuals during community outings, activities, volunteer opportunities, and recreational events.
• Assist individuals with daily living skills and social interactions.
• Follow each person’s Plan, ISP goals, and behavior strategies.
• Promote independence while ensuring health, safety, and dignity.
• Provide transportation support using a personal vehicle with full insurance.
• Document services accurately and timely in accordance with regulations.
• Maintain professional boundaries and respectful interactions with individuals and families.
