Job summary

Gowanda Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in New York is hiring a Nurse Aide to assist residents with daily living activities. The position offers competitive hourly wages starting at 18.36, up to 21.42, with additional shift differentials for evenings and nights.

The role requires NYS certification as a Nurse Aide, a high school diploma or equivalent, and at least 1 year of experience. We welcome new grads and provide a benefits package, paid time off, and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate OR Equivalent.
• A minimum of 1 year prior experience.
• Must have NYS Certification as a Nurse’s Aide.

Responsibilities

• Assist in ambulation and transfers between bed, chair, and stretcher.
• Assist or feeds resident(s) as indicated, serves water and nourishment.
• Offers and removes bedpans and/or urinals.
• Keeps incontinent resident clean and dry, changes linens and makes beds.
• Gives bed baths, tub baths, and provides skin care; oral hygiene.
• Assists residents to dress and undress; participates in rehab activities.
• Collects specimens and measures intake and output; keeps records.
• Takes temperature, pulse, and respiration; may prepare ice packs or other equipment.
• Observes residents and reports changes to the Charge Nurse; signs off when leaving.
