Job summary

Gowanda Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in New York invites a Nurse Aide to join our dedicated team. The role offers starting pay of $18.36/hr with adjustments to $21.42/hr and evening/night differentials up to $22.67/hr.

New grads are welcome and multiple shifts are available across day, evening, and night schedules. The CNA will assist residents with mobility, feeding, hygiene, vital signs, and daily living activities, while maintaining safety and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• NYS CNA certification required.
• Minimum 1 year CNA experience.
• Ability to assist with transfers and daily living activities.

Responsibilities

• Assists in ambulation and transfers from bed, chair or stretcher.
• Assists or feeds resident(s) and provides water and nourishment.
• Keeps incontinent resident clean and dry; changes linens and makes beds.
• Gives bed baths and skin care; helps with hair and oral hygiene.
• Assists residents to dress and undress.
• Participates in bowel/bladder rehabilitation activities.
• Takes measurements like temperature, pulse and respiration; prepares simple care items as directed.
• Observes residents and reports changes to the Charge Nurse.
