Job summary

Fairhaven Christian Retirement Center in Rockford, IL seeks a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to support residents with daily living activities and dignity. Primary duties include direct patient care per care plans, documenting notes, and ensuring safety and HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited CNA course.
• Current CPR registration.
• Knowledge of the geriatric population in life community settings.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care within the framework of CNA training according to the patient’s care plan and Fairhaven policies and procedures.
• Contributes to the care planning process by providing observations of residents’ needs and preferences.
• Provides individualized attention to maintain or attain residents’ highest possible physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being.
• Responds promptly to residents’ call lights and notifies the nurse when interventions are necessary.
• Charts and documents as directed by nursing supervisor, including restorative documentation and ADL performance evaluation.
• Reports significant events involving residents’ medical condition or behavior to nursing administration on duty.
• Maintains skin integrity and adheres to infection control procedures.
• Follows safety procedures and HIPAA regulations; acts as a customer service representative for Fairhaven.

Skills
