Job summary

Centurion Health is seeking a Full-Time Certified Nursing Assistant for Dixon Correctional Center in Dixon, Illinois. The Evening shift (1P-9P) entails assisting incarcerated patients with daily living activities, hygiene, and vital sign monitoring under supervision of nursing and medical staff.

Qualified candidates will have a High School diploma or GED, Illinois CNA licensure, and CPR/BLS certification. Prior experience in healthcare or correctional settings is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• CNA or other medical paraprofessional certification is required.
• CNA licensure in Illinois is required.
• Training or certification as a nurse’s aide, medical technician or mental health worker is preferred.
• One year of experience in acute care, long-term care, emergency or correctional settings is preferred.
• Must be CPR/BLS certified.
• Ability to obtain a security clearance (drug screen and background check).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to incarcerated individuals under supervision.
• Assist patients with hygiene, activities of daily living, and routine tasks.
• Support nursing, medical and psychiatric staff in delivering care.
• Monitor and record vital signs and patient status as directed.

Education

High School diploma or GED

CNA certification required

CNA licensure in Illinois

CPR/BLS certification
