Job summary

The Good Samaritan in Ellsworth, KS is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) to provide resident-centered care in a long-term care setting during evening shifts. Under the supervision of an RN, you will assist with daily living activities, basic health care tasks, and support infection prevention policies.

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 16; prior clinical or CNA experience preferred.
• Required CNA certification with the State Board of Nursing, or in process within four months by training/endorsement.
• Annual competency testing and minimum 12 hours CEU per year.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
• Assist with bathing, toileting, grooming and dressing.
• Take and record vital signs; report changes to RN.
• Assist with transfers, mobility and range-of-motion exercises.
