Job summary

Good Samaritan Society in Battle Lake, MN is seeking a Full Time Evening CNA to provide resident-centered nursing care in a long-term care setting. The shift is 2:15pm to 10:45pm, with 40 hours per week and rotating weekends/holidays, and a $7,500 sign-on bonus.

The Nursing Assistant delivers daily living assistance, monitors vital signs, records care, and supports meal times while following infection prevention and safety policies under RN supervision.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 16.
• CNA certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement.
• A minimum of 12 hours continuing education annually.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision.
• Assist with bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, vital signs, and basic health care needs.
• Assist with transfers, ROM and walking, and support meals and dining.
• Document resident interactions and communicate changes to charge nurse.
• Assist with housekeeping, laundry, wellness and recreational activities.
