Job summary

Mount Carmel St. Ann’s is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to join our Pharmacy team, focusing on Internal Medicine units, Emergency Department, and central operations.

This evening-shift role offers the opportunity to practice at the top of your license in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment dedicated to patient care. The ideal candidate will mentor interns and residents, contribute to quality improvement, and participate in teaching.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Doctor of Pharmacy required.
• Current license to practice as a Registered Pharmacist in Ohio.
• PGY1 residency or three years of institutional hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
• Demonstrates effective communication and team-oriented care.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates preparation, distribution, and dispensing of medications in compliance with regulations and policies; directs staff.
• Maintains compliance records for pharmacy transactions, including controlled substances.
• Manages inventory and processes non-formulary requests to optimize supply.
• Interprets, evaluates, and verifies all medication orders.
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to optimize cost-effective drug therapy and monitor for interactions.
