Job summary

Saint Luke's Hospital, part of the Baptist Health System and a Tenet Healthcare facility in San Antonio, seeks an Evening Shift Pharmacist to join the hospital-based pharmacy team. The Clinical Pharmacist provides pharmaceutical care and products to neonates through geriatrics, both inpatients and outpatients, complying with all regulations.

This role requires Texas licensure and hospital internship experience; IV admixture certification is preferred. A sign-on bonus may apply.

Qualifications

• Possession of current Texas State Board of Pharmacy License.
• Hospital internship rotation experience.
• IV Admixture Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interprets medication orders and maintains patient medication profiles.
• Compounds and dispenses pharmaceuticals, including sterile and parenteral nutrition products.
• Dispenses controlled substances and maintains records.
• Ensures safe, cost-effective medication therapies per policy and protocol.
• Provides clinical consultations to practitioners and cost-effective therapeutic alternatives.
• Supervises pharmacy personnel and ensures efficient operation of the department.
• Participates in performance improvement activities and education programs.
