Job summary

Labcorp seeks a Technologist in Raritan, NJ to join a fast-paced clinical lab team. The role focuses on specimen acceptance, testing, instrumentation monitoring, and quality control within a high-volume environment.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's or MLS and has 1+ year of lab testing experience, with ASCP/AMT certification preferred. Expect shift from Tue to Sat 3:00 pm–11:30 pm and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology; 1 year or more of clinical laboratory testing experience OR MLS degree.
• ASCP or AMT certification is preferred.
• Non-traditional degrees with applicable science credits meeting CLIA standards may qualify in lieu of education requirements.

Responsibilities

• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria.
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to SOPs.
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation for proper functionality.
• Make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.
• Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls.
• Report accurate and timely test results to deliver quality patient care.
• Perform and document preventative maintenance and quality control procedures.
• Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary.
• Assist with processing of specimens as needed.
• Maintain a safe work environment and wear PPE.
