Job summary

Everlywell, a digital health company, is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our diagnostic team in Austin, TX. This non-supervisory role processes specimens, performs chemistry testing, and ensures high-quality results in compliance with procedures and regulations.

You will collaborate with leadership and the lab team to maintain quality, investigate issues, and ensure patient results are not released until testing is validated.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role.
• 1 year experience running and troubleshooting chemistry analyzers.
• Bachelor's degree in a chemical/physical/biological or clinical lab science or NAACLS-certified MLS/CLS/MT.
• ASCP certification strongly preferred.
• Ability to work 2:30 p.m.–11:00 p.m. schedule.

Responsibilities

• Process, identify, sort, log, and prepare specimens per procedures.
• Perform clinical lab testing using manual methods and general chemistry methods.
• Review QC data, calibrations, and instrument performance.
• Recognize abnormal results and notify appropriate personnel.
• Document deviations and corrective actions with good documentation practices.
• Withhold patient results until corrective actions are complete.
• Perform maintenance and troubleshooting per procedures and instructions.
• Test proficiency-testing samples and maintain records.
• Follow safety, confidentiality and PPE requirements.
• Maintain organized workstation and store reagents properly.
• Participate in training, competency assessment, and process-improvement activities.
• Support specimen pickup, supply receiving, or other operational tasks when trained.
