Job summary

ABM Industries in Portland, Oregon is seeking a reliable Janitorial Cleaner to perform cleaning duties across assigned facilities, maintaining a clean, safe environment and contributing to a positive experience for staff and visitors.

Shifts are Monday to Friday, 2pm–10pm. You will sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, sanitize restrooms, empty trash, clean windows, and report maintenance needs to your supervisor. ABM offers a comprehensive benefits package and a veteran-friendly workplace.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous janitorial/custodial experience is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety standards.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and polishing floors and surfaces
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, replenish supplies, and ensure hygiene standards are met
• Empty trash and recycling bins and waste in accordance with company policies
• Clean windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces
• Maintain and store cleaning equipment and supplies properly
• Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or supply shortages to the supervisor
• Assist with setup and cleanup for meetings, events, or special projects as needed
• Follow all safety procedures and company protocols related to cleaning and sanitation
