Job summary

Montclairymca is seeking a Special Event Staff member in Montclair, NJ to ensure the safety and well-being of children during events. This part-time role requires engaging with children and leading activities while adhering to YMCA values.

The ideal candidate will have prior childcare experience, be at least 18 years old, and possess excellent communication and organizational skills. The hourly pay ranges from $18.00 to $20.00, with required Saturday shifts from 6:00 PM to 9:30 PM.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Prior childcare or babysitting experience required.
• Excellent human relation skills, good organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Engage and lead age-appropriate activities for assigned groups of children.
• Promote a safe, inclusive and engaging environment for children.
• Supervise the overall play area, ensuring the safety of the children.
