Job summary

Crescent Counseling Center in Alexandria, VA is seeking an independently licensed LPC, LCSW, or LMFT to join our private practice–style clinical team working with children and adolescents. The position focuses on after-school and evening therapy, with a schedule from 2:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Virginia license as an LPC, LCSW, or LMFT.
• Experience providing therapy to children and adolescents.
• Strong understanding of child development and family dynamics.
• Ability to engage young clients and communicate with parents and caregivers.
• Commitment to culturally responsive, inclusive, and ethical care.
• Consistent availability during the required afternoon and evening hours.
• Experience with play-based interventions and caregiver support are welcome.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person outpatient therapy to children and adolescents during after-school and evening hours.
• Complete clinical assessments, developing treatment plans, and monitoring progress.
• Involve parents and caregivers as clinically appropriate to support treatment goals.
• Assess safety concerns and coordinate additional support when needed.
• Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with colleagues and other providers to support coordinated care.
