Job summary

Nationwide Children's Hospital is seeking an Evening Shift Charge RN for the PCD or EOS. The role supports 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., 0.8 FTE (32 hours weekly), Monday–Friday with no weekends, and benefits eligibility. Base rate starts at $39.90/hour with an additional evening premium of $5.00/hour.

The Charge Nurse plans, directs, and evaluates patient care during shifts, mentors staff, and upholds ANA ethics and patient advocacy.

Qualifications

• BSN is required.
• Current Ohio Nursing License is required.
• Two years nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates the activities of a shift, directs staff, and ensures supplies and equipment are available.
• Serves as EPIC Super User and supports employees throughout the shift.
• Delivers direct patient care as needed and coaches staff for service excellence.
• Engages in workforce communication, data collection, and quality improvement discussions.
