Job summary

Nationwide Children's Hospital Inc. in Columbus, OH, is seeking a Psychiatric Charge RN for the Neurobehavior Unit on the weekend day shift. This 0.75 FTE role (30 hours/week) requires a BSN, Ohio nursing license, and BLS.

The Charge Nurse will oversee patient care during the shift and mentor staff. Responsibilities include coordinating the shift, ensuring supplies and staffing, serving as an EPIC Super User, and maintaining regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• BSN degree required.
• Current Ohio Nursing License is required.
• BLS certification required.
• 2 years nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate shift activities, assign and direct staff to meet patient care needs.
• Ensure adequate supplies, equipment, and staff utilization.
• Serve as EPIC Super User and support system use across the unit.
• Provide direct patient care when needed and coach staff for quality care.
• Engage in data collection, quality improvement, and staff communications.
