Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent or related experience required for new hires.
• At least two (2) years experience as a Central Sterile Technician required; in an acute care hospital setting preferred.
• Central Supply Certified certification, preferred.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate.

Responsibilities

• Decontamination, preparation and sterilization of central sterile trays, instruments and equipment.
• Manage inventory and restock supplies as needed.
• Perform computer data entry and batch patient charge cards.
• Demonstrates knowledge of department locations and access to all areas.
• Communicates clearly, both verbally and in writing.
