Coshocton Regional Medical Center is seeking a Patient Care Assistant II to join its evening shift in a 56-bed acute care setting in East Central Ohio. The role involves monitoring cardiac rhythms, providing indirect care under RN supervision, and supporting safe patient environments in a fast-paced hospital.

The PCA II works with the care team to assist patients with daily living activities, while ensuring compliance with certification requirements and facility policies.

Qualifications

• Current Certification in Patient Care required.
• Dysrhythmia Interpretation Certificate upon hire and maintain current preferred.
• Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current
• Six months previous experience as Monitor Technician, preferred.
• Current Phlebotomy certification upon hire, preferred.
• Current EKG certification upon hire, preferred.
• Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office, preferred.

Responsabilités

• Monitor cardiac rhythms via direct cardiac monitor.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to all patients and assists in maintenance of a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the RN and within the scope of the PCA I job description as long as the activity does not distract from primary responsibility for dysrhythmia monitoring.
