Job summary

Northeast Alternatives is a growing cannabis retail brand seeking a Flower Packaging Technician in Massachusetts. The role focuses on producing pre-rolled and prepackaged flower items, weighing, labeling, and maintaining compliance.

It requires physical capability, steady attention to detail, and the ability to work evenings as scheduled. Ideal candidates have cannabis industry experience, strong math and organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.

Qualifications

• Full time, 40 hours per week.
• Open availability throughout the week as needed.
• Ability to learn about, and operate, new machinery for production/labeling.
• Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment and manage time effectively.
• Proficient in basic math skills.
• Good organizational skills.
• Detail oriented, and good with numbers.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Over 21 with MA agent registration card.
• Ability to lift over 50 lbs.
• Flexibility with required physical tasks (sitting, standing, stooping, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Produces pre-rolled and prepackaged flower items.
• Responsible for accurately weighing, counting, packaging, and labeling all Flower products.
• Utilize weighing, assembly, and packaging equipment to complete daily tasks and goals.
• Reports any identifiable mold, mildew, seeds, pests, or pathogens to the Packaging Manager.
• All Flower products are packaged to the highest standard of compliance.
• Provide maintenance of processing and assembly equipment, and restock supplies.
• Participate as a team member in a fast-paced work environment to complete goals.
• Execute tasks assigned by the Packaging Shift Supervisor or Lead.
• Report issues to direct report in a timely fashion.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work space; ensure 100% compliance.
• Other duties as assigned.
