Ivy Tech Community College is seeking a part‑time Security Officer for the Greenfield campus to protect people and property during evening hours. The role involves enforcing post orders, assisting students and visitors, and coordinating with emergency services during campus incidents.

Responsibilities include door access, incident reporting, and maintaining confidentiality. Must hold a high school diploma or GED and Indiana driver’s license; CPR/First Aid training is required within three weeks

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Must have a valid Indiana driver's license and be insurable by the college.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Adhere to post orders and campus security duties.
• Provide assistance to students and visitors and maintain a welcoming, safe environment.
• Lock and unlock doors as required and manage access control.
• Complete incident reports and document security events.
• Respond to alarms and coordinate with facilities and local emergency services.
• Escort students, staff and visitors as needed and input crime reporting data.
