Job summary

Bluegrass Community & Technical College is seeking a Public Safety Officer II for the Evening Shift to safeguard the Bluegrass C&TC Newtown Pike Campus and support campus emergency operations. On-site duties include patrolling grounds, monitoring surveillance, enforcing rules, coordinating access, supervising security staff, and leading crisis response as needed.

The role demands 24/7 availability and adherence to safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High School equivalent or one-year related experience.
• Associate's degree and three years related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Patrol campus grounds and monitor surveillance systems.
• Enforce the Student Code of Conduct and campus rules.
• Lead crisis management and incident command during emergencies.
• Coordinate access control and key management.
• Supervise and schedule contract security staff.
• Prepare and submit incident and safety reports.
• Coordinate with local emergency agencies and training efforts.
