Indian Prairie Community Unit School District is seeking a part-time School Safety and Security Site Lead at Neuqua Valley High School. The role focuses on monitoring cameras, controlling access, and leading after-hours safety operations to protect students and staff.

You will coordinate with police, fire, and EMS, and ensure incidents are reported and resolved while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in a busy school environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of prior experience in security, law enforcement, military, or school operations preferred.
• Must hold a valid driver's license.
• Must possess or be able to obtain a valid First Aid and CPR/AED certificate.
• Must complete district-approved ALICE training.

Responsabilités

• Surveillance and Patrol: monitor campus security cameras and access control, conduct regular rounds.
• Emergency Response and De-escalation: lead emergency response and verbally de-escalate conflicts.
• Liaison Duties: act as primary contact between responders and school administration.
• Access Control and Visitor Management: verify authorization for after-school activities and rentals.
• Safety Promotion: report vulnerabilities and maintain a safe campus environment.
• Professionalism: maintain confidentiality and work collaboratively with staff and community.
• Communication & Operations: maintain radio contact and track program schedules.
• Documentation & Reporting: provide verbal and written updates; quarterly reports as needed.

Formation

Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience

High school diploma or equivalent

Minimum of 2 years of security, law enforcement, military, or school operations experience

Valid driver's license

First Aid/CPR/AED certification or equivalent
