Job summary

West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine seeks a Campus Service Worker to perform custodial and janitorial maintenance across all facilities. The role supports a clean, safe environment for students, faculty, staff and visitors with a typical schedule Monday–Friday, 3:00pm–11:00pm and some weekend coverage for special events.

The position is full-time and non-exempt, with a minimum hourly rate of $15.50 and potential overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Janitorial/custodial experience preferred.
• Participate in Medical Monitoring program.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, scrub, mop, disinfect floors and surfaces.
• Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures; maintain supplies.
• Vacuum carpets and upholstery; dust furniture and fixtures.
• Empty trash, manage waste and recycling as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of walls, windows and vents; assist with setup for events.
• Ensure buildings are secured at end of shift.
