Job summary

Jackson College is seeking a Cleaning Team Member for the 2nd shift (2:30pm-11pm). The role supports a student-ready campus by performing janitorial duties across classrooms, offices and common areas, maintaining high cleanliness standards and safety. Training is provided on cleaning procedures, safety practices and equipment use.

The ideal candidate is dependable, detail‑oriented, customer service focused, and able to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum one or more years of related experience.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Preferred associate degree.
• Able to work evenings on 2nd shift.

Responsibilities

• Maintain clean, safe, welcoming campus facilities.
• Clean, sanitize, and disinfect restrooms, classrooms, offices and common areas.
• Set up and tear down rooms for meetings and events.
• Operate and store custodial equipment and cleaning products safely.
• Follow safety procedures and use PPE as required.
• Assist with snow and ice removal and report hazards.
