Job summary

Diversified Maintenance is hiring a Janitor in Jackson, MS. The role involves performing all-purpose cleaning and upkeep of assigned areas across client sites, with flexibility to meet each property's needs.

Typical hours are Mon-Sun 6am–11am, 35 hours weekly, paying $12 per hour. Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, be detail-oriented, and able to follow instructions. On-the-job training is provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or six months janitorial experience.
• On-the-job training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and clean all floor surfaces, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, to prevent damage to floors and other objects.
• Clean, monitor and maintain restrooms, meeting rooms, corridors, and entrance areas.
• Empty trash cans; use of compactor for certain materials.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using appropriate cleaners and equipment.
• Spot clean carpets; assist in carpet extractions and shampooing.
• Replenish paper products and sanitary supplies.
• Follow housekeeping schedule.
• Occasionally use heavy cleaning equipment, such as floor scrubbers, backpacks vacuums, and buffers.
• Other duties as assigned per scope of work or customer needs.
