Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ years of experience preferred.
• Ability to read and write effectively.
• Good verbal communications and human relations skills.
• Basic knowledge of heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems.
• Demonstrated supervisory ability.
• Must be reachable by telephone and have reliable transportation.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed in emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Cleans bathrooms, floors, walls, ceilings, and ceiling fixtures using appropriate equipment; replaces supplies as required.
• Collects and transports trash in large receptacles.
• Performs seasonal outdoor maintenance and snow/ice removal.
• Receives, unloads, locates and relocates supplies without power equipment.
• Evaluates and trains night staff; secures building at day end.
• Schedules building service activities to avoid conflicts with after-school activities.
• Coordinates facility usage for events as directed.
• Assists staff and students to achieve school purposes.
• Advises on repair and maintenance actions required.
• Maintains logs/records and follows up on issues.
• Performs minor repairs within available resources.
• Inspects facilities to ensure safety, sanitation and security standards.
• May recommend disciplinary action for unsatisfactory performance.
• Performs related duties as required.
