Job summary

Brigham Young University in Utah invites applications for the Evening MTC Building Operations Supervisor. This part-time role oversees cleaning of assigned buildings, supports setup and takedown of events, and mentors student staff to foster positive work ethics.

You will follow university policies, report to the Area Operations Manager, and contribute to department initiatives. The position is long-term temporary through 2030 with a schedule including Tue–Sat shifts.

Qualifications

• Required: High school diploma or GED Equivalent.
• Preferred: 1 year of building care and/or supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the cleanliness of assigned work area through organizing and supervising part-time employees using approved cleaning methods and techniques.
• Mentor, teach, train, and motivate part-time and student employees while instilling a service attitude.
• Personally work with student crews during their shift to assist with problems and answer questions.
• Maintains and updates records as assigned.
• Communicates and provides public relations for the buildings they service.
• Inspect buildings daily to check effectiveness of cleaning crews and determine future needs.
