University of Northwestern – St. Paul is seeking a Building Supervisor-Service Associate for Custodial Services. This full-time role supports daily operations, safety, and event readiness on campus in St.

Paul, MN. You will oversee building maintenance, coordinate custodial tasks, supervise student workers, and assist with emergency response and facility projects while upholding Northwestern's Christ-centered mission. The general schedule is Tue–Sat, 3:00–11:30 PM, with on-call duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Maintain a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and uphold Northwestern's mission.
• Must pass initial and ongoing background checks as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Building Operations and Maintenance Oversight: Monitor building conditions, submit and track work orders, participate in facility project planning and implementation, including status reports.
• Custodial Services and Facility Readiness: Ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and readiness of classrooms, offices, common areas through routine custodial services, waste disposal, supply replenishment, and minor maintenance tasks.
• Safety and Compliance: Maintain a safe work environment through proper use, storage, and maintenance of equipment, chemicals, and tools, including snow/ice response for safe access during emergencies.
• Supervision and Training: Train, supervise, and support student employees by promoting safe practices, proper equipment use, and safety compliance.
• Logistics, Event, and Operational Support: Coordinate room set-ups/teardowns for events and transport equipment between departments and buildings.
• Perform other duties as requested or assigned.
