Job summary

Versiti Blood Center of Wisconsin is seeking a full-time blood component processing technician to prepare quality components within SOPs and regulatory standards, with a schedule of Tue-Sat 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM and on-call duties as needed.

Responsibilities include checking in blood products, performing inventory reconciliation, packing and shipping to local hospitals, and ensuring strict storage and QC procedures in a fast-paced environment; requires a High School Diploma and 0–1 year of related

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Less than 1 year of related experience or training preferred.
• Ability to read, interpret, and write documents; attention to detail and data entry skills expected.

Responsibilities

• Check in blood products and perform visual inspections.
• Perform daily and quarterly inventory reconciliation.
• Import/export blood products and process returns/credits.
• Pack and ship blood products to local hospitals.
• Pack and ship recovered plasma; communicate recalls or substitutions.
• Irradiate blood products and monitor storage conditions.
• Dispatch orders and arrange delivery with carriers or hospital staff.
• Assist in Pharmacy duties as needed.
• Label products to meet regulatory and inventory requirements.
• Follow storage procedures for RBCs and plasma; perform QC checks.
