Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a chemical, physical, biological or clinical science or medical technology.
• Knowledge of Blood Banking principles and techniques from formal training and experience.
• ASCP Certification and hospital laboratory exposure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialized laboratory testing in areas including hematology, chemistry, microbiology, immunology, and blood bank.
• Operate and maintain laboratory instruments, calibrate, troubleshoot, and document maintenance.
• Analyze, verify, and report test results in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Perform quality control, quality assurance, and proficiency testing per regulatory standards.
• Communicate critical values and ensure proper specimen identification and handling.
