Job summary

The State of Missouri is seeking a Behavioral Technician to join the Southeast Missouri Residential services team in Poplar Bluff. The role supports consumers with behavioral needs, follows support plans, and records data during shifts.

Requirements include 18+, a high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and training in First Aid/CPR/Safety Care. Evening shifts 7:00 pm–7:00 am with variable weekends. State benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license for transporting clients.
• 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Pass Level One Medication Aide Certification within 1 month.
• Complete required trainings: First Aid, CPR, Safety Care.

Responsibilities

• Provide positive behavioral support and implement plans.
• Assist in data collection and behavioral assessments.
• Complete shift documentation clearly and promptly.
• Assist with personal care and transporting clients as needed.
• Respond to crisis situations and implement interventions.
• Maintain a safe, clean therapeutic environment for care.
