Job summary

Compass Health Network is seeking a Behavioral Technician for the Crisis Center in Union, MO. The role supports individuals in crisis, with supervision from the Triage Clinician Lead, focusing on safety, daily needs, and compassionate care during evenings.

The position emphasizes hands-on care, teamwork, and a welcoming environment, with a Monday–Friday 3pm–11:30pm schedule. Prior psychiatric or ER experience is valued, along with a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• High School/GEDpreferred.
• At least one year of psychiatric, nursing, or emergency room work experience preferred.
• Ability to stay calm and compassionate during crises.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centered support to individuals during crisis, ensuring daily needs are met.
• Monitor safety and engage with individuals to create a supportive environment.
• Participate in medication administration (following L1MA training).
• Share observations and feedback with the treatment team to enhance care.
• Assist in keeping the BHCC environment organized, clean, and welcoming.
• Act as a mentor to new staff and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team.
