Job summary

Frhealth in Newport Beach, CA is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician for the 3:00pm–11:30pm swing shift. You will provide direct patient care in detox and residential programs and support staff in assessments and safety monitoring.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in behavioral health, substance abuse treatment, mental health, or healthcare preferred.
• RADT or Certified with a DHCS approved provider.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to remain calm during crisis situations.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate supervision and support to detox and residential clients.
• Assist with new client assessments and provide orientation to new clients.
• Monitor patient safety and document observations accurately.
• Obtain vital signs, conduct basic health screenings, and collect urinalysis specimens.
• Assist nursing staff with implementing treatment plans.
• Support crisis intervention and de-escalation efforts.
• Ensure compliance with facility policies and infection control procedures.
• Transport clients to appointments or meetings as needed.
