Job summary

DoubleTree by Hilton McLean Tysons is seeking a Bartender who will prepare and serve beverages to guests in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner. The role requires adherence to health regulations and brand standards, while delivering exceptional guest service in a busy hotel bar environment.

Qualified candidates will have 1+ year of bartending experience or a bartender certification, strong English communication skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• TIPS or CARE beverage service certification desired, or the ability to obtain certification is required.
• Must have one or more years of previous bartending experience or Bartender certification.
• Must have exemplary customer service, attention to detail, and ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to speak, understand, and write English for guest needs and paperwork.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally.
• Must be able to walk, stand, and move about the property during shift.

Responsibilities

• Greets guests and takes beverage orders promptly according to standards.
• Prepares drinks to recipe and brand standards; operates bar equipment.
• Maintains clean, organized bar and stock; assists with dish room as needed.
• Completes shift inventory and required paperwork on time.
• Ensures compliance with liquor laws and safety regulations.
• Works as part of a team to deliver excellent guest service.
