Job summary

Tex-Tubbs-Taco-Palace in Madison, WI seeks a bartender to provide friendly and attentive service, craft cocktails and manage bar operations during dinner shifts. You will take orders, prepare beverages following our recipes, and maintain a clean, stocked bar.

Must be customer-focused with strong multitasking and cash handling skills. We offer a tips-based compensation model from $22 to $33 per hour, requiring weekend availability and team-oriented collaboration within a fast-paced restaurant

Qualifications

• Bartender experience required.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced work environment.
• Great attitude and positive outlook.
• Strong customer service.
• Must be able to carry trays or supplies (10-30 lbs.).
• A thorough knowledge of mixology, wines, liquor and cocktails is required.
• High School diploma/GED

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, attentive, and personable service to guests.
• Prepare cocktails, beer, wine, and other beverages according to restaurant standards/recipes
• Take food and drink orders accurately and efficiently
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar throughout the shift
• Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately
• Create a fun and welcoming atmosphere for guests
• Stay organized and multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Communicate effectively with servers, kitchen staff, and managers
• Follow all restaurant, health, safety, and alcohol service guidelines
• Assist with opening and closing duties as needed
• Be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Shift availability: Part time; primarily dinner shift 4pm-close; weekend availability required
