Meridian International is seeking an Evening Audiovisual Technician to support setup, operation, and troubleshooting of AV systems during evening meetings and hybrid broadcasts in Washington, DC. This part-time role requires availability on weekday evenings and involves hands-on work with audio, video, and conferencing technology.

The technician will manage equipment, test systems, and provide on-site support to ensure smooth productions for staff, presenters, and guests.

Qualifications

• Experience setting up, operating, and troubleshooting AV equipment, including audio, video, and video conferencing systems.
• Familiarity with audio systems, microphones, cameras, video displays, and conferencing technologies.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and break down audiovisual equipment for meetings and live events.
• Operate sound systems; manage microphones, video displays, monitors, recording equipment, mixing consoles, and cabling.
• Monitor and troubleshoot AV equipment issues during meetings and events.
• Track, organize, store, and maintain audiovisual equipment inventory.
• Provide on-site technical support during meetings and events to ensure successful production outcomes.
• Set up and operate professional audio and video systems.
• Set up PTZ cameras, Mac OS X and Windows based audiovisual systems.
• Assist with microphone placement and audio reinforcement for speakers and presenters.
• Respond to Information Technology support requests and provide basic AV technical support for hardware, software, and collaboration technologies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve user AV issues or elevate them when appropriate.
