Job summary

Cummins Inc. in Seymour, Indiana, seeks a shop‑level assembler to join a production team. You will operate manual and automated equipment to assemble components and ensure parts meet required dimensions, following standardized work and safety rules.

You will maintain a clean, organized work area, participate in team‑based improvement efforts, and handle materials with forklifts and hoists. Overtime may be required to meet schedule demands.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent required.
• Must pass all related testing.
• Six months work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate manual and automated equipment to assemble product.
• Follow standardized work and process documentation.
• Maintain clean and orderly work area and perform routine maintenance tasks.
• Perform rework and nonconforming material handling.
• Collect, analyze and display operating data; use problem-solving techniques.
• Operate material handling equipment (hoists, forklift) safely.
• Adhere to PPE and safety policies; participate in training and development.
• Contribute to improvement projects and team goals.
