Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in Lafayette, IN is seeking an Assembler to join our Product Support and Logistics Division. You will assemble engine components, inspect subassemblies, and package parts for diesel engines, working on 2nd or 3rd shift depending on assignment.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of air/hand tools.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Reading and interpreting prints.
• Demonstrated good attendance record.
• Ability to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose malfunctions.
• Perform adjustments.
• Repair subassemblies as needed which have been found defective.
• Manage all material and components used within their assigned area.
