Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital is seeking an Anesthesia Technician II for its Lower Manhattan campus. The role supports Anesthesiologists and CRNAs during all anesthesia phases, prepares regional anesthetics, and maintains essential equipment.

Qualified candidates will have a High School Diploma or GED, anesthesia tech experience, and Basic Life Support certification. ASATT certification is preferred. This is an on-site, full-time position with a 1pm–9pm shift.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Experience as an Anesthesia Technician.
• Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support is required.
• ASATT certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists anesthesiologists/ CRNAs during induction, maintenance and emergence from anesthesia.
• Sets up sterile equipment and prepares regional anesthetics and invasive monitoring devices.
• Maintains equipment and supplies for anesthesia care and ensures sterile technique.
• Applies infection control and safety practices, including cleaning, sterilizing, and disposal of equipment.
• Operates cell saver devices and rapid infuser as assigned.
• Ensures sterility and cleanliness of specialized equipment (TEE, fiber optic scopes, LMA).
• Keeps work areas clean and orderly before, during, and after shifts.
