Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System is seeking an Anatomic Pathology Technician for an evening full-time role at Bell Hospital. You will receive, process, and accession specimens and ensure accurate labeling for microscopic evaluation.

Responsibilities include data entry in LIS/EMR, slide preparation, inventory management, and assisting histology and gross room staff. Prior lab/computer skills are preferred, with a high school diploma or equivalent required.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Associates Degree preferred.
• Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Receive, process and accession specimens.
• Label slides accurately for microscopic evaluation.
• Enter data in LIS/EMR and maintain documentation.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and prepare reagents.
• Assist with staining, coverslipping and handling of slides/blocks.
• Support quality assurance activities.
