Job summary

Eagle Analytical, based in Houston, seeks a Supervisor, Analytical Chemistry (2nd Shift) to lead the analytical chemistry team focused on raw material, finished product, and stability testing. Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's or PhD in Analytical Chemistry or related field.
• 3–4 years of analytical chemistry experience in a pharmaceutical lab.
• Hands-on wet chemistry and sample prep per compendial procedures.
• Understanding of instrumental analysis in a modern chemistry lab.
• Strong documentation and data integrity practices.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and schedule routine and non-routine analytical testing per procedures.
• Review results for accuracy; notify management of out-of-spec results and lead investigations.
• Supervise maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of analytical equipment (HPLC, GC, FTIR, UV-Vis, TOC).
• Coordinate repairs and preventive maintenance to keep instruments within specs.
• Ensure proficiency with equipment, systems, and SOPs for raw material, finished product, and stability testing.
• Stay current with analytical techniques and regulatory expectations for pharma testing.
• Provide leadership across workstations; facilitate cross-training and backup coverage.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of all testing activities and investigations per cGMP.
