Job summary

Georgia Northwestern Technical College is seeking a part-time Adult Education Student Services Assistant to be located on the Gordon County Campus and travel to other campuses as needed. This role reports to the Lead Instructor and requires in-person work, with a schedule of Monday through Thursday, 2:45pm to 7:00pm.

The responsibilities include orientation, registration and assessment support, verification of student information, file maintenance, proctoring assessments, supporting instructor

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED and one year of related work experience.
• Ability to become a notary.

Responsibilities

• Provides orientation, registration and assessment support for new students.
• Verifies student information and documentation.
• Prepares, updates and maintains student files.
• Proctors assessments.
• Assists instructor with retention including tracking student progress and contacting students regarding attendance.
• Performs clerical tasks including answering the phone, reviewing GALIS data, printing GALIS reports.
• Requests and maintains classroom and office supplies, materials and equipment.
• Assists the instructor in the classroom as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
