Job summary

North Shore Community College is seeking an adjunct faculty member to teach in the Medical Assisting Certificate Program in Lynn. Courses run in a hybrid format with MAC core courses scheduled in the Fall 2026 semester.

Starting date is Fall 2026, with a salary commensurate with the DCE Collective Bargaining Agreement and a minimum of $1,512 per credit hour. The candidate will teach MAC courses, develop each course in a hybrid modality, prepare syllabi and assessments, and support a diverse

Qualifications

• Must have an associate degree or higher in medical assisting or related field with graduate credit.
• Experience teaching medical assisting in higher education is required.
• Commitment to diverse student communities and backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Teach MAC courses in lecture and lab as scheduled.
• Develop each MAC course in a hybrid modality.
• Prepare syllabi, proctor and grade assessments, report final grades.
• Develop assessment strategies to measure learning outcomes.
• Support diversity and inclusiveness and perform duties per the union agreement.
