Job summary

Banner Health in Mesa, AZ is seeking an Acute Pharmacy Technician to support medication packaging, distribution, compounding, and record-keeping under pharmacist supervision. You will assist customers, maintain a compliant cleanroom, and help train staff to ensure safe, age-appropriate care.

This evening role runs 2:00 PM–10:30 PM with rotating weekends and holidays. Hire-on incentive up to $2,500 and shift differentials reflect the commitment to patient safety and staffing needs.

Qualifications

• Requires Pharmacy Technician licensure and active certification.
• Arizona Board certification may be required for practice.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations accurately.
• Strong customer service focus and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Identifies medications and restocks inventory to maintain supplies.
• Manages users in dispensing tech database; troubleshoots issues.
• Provides excellent customer service to patients and staff.
• Restocks dispensing systems and documents transactions per policy.
• Compounds non-sterile medications with proper documentation.
• Maintains clean, safe work environment and performs QA tasks.
• Handles narcotics per regulatory requirements and documentation.
• Performs IV compounding labeling with sterile technique.
