Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field.
• 1–2 years of progressively more responsible experience in an access/admissions or related setting.
• Computer skills in email/Word/Excel; knowledge of IDX and Sunrise is a plus.
• Ability to multi-task and set priorities.
• Interpersonal skills to communicate with staff, referral sources, and patients/families.
• Analytical skills to assess psychiatric needs and admission/referral decisions.
• Ability to concentrate and manage data entry with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for shift task assignment to maximize bed capacity utilization for Towson and Baltimore area inpatient beds.
• Acts as shift communications point between bed manager, screening provider, and access coordinators.
• Assist Manager of Access with orientation of new Access Coordinators.
